Board of County Commissioners to meet Tuesday

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The annual update from Reno County Sheriff Darrian Campbell is on the agenda for the Board of County Commissioners as they meet Tuesday morning.

Also, there will be three proclamations for Child Abuse Prevention Month, Week of the Young Child and Law Enforcement Memorial Week.

The commission will go over its consent agenda, which includes purchases for Reno/Kingman Joint Fire District 1 (Pretty Prairie) to purchase a new 2021 Ram 1500 from Allen Samuels and outfit that vehicle for a total cost not to exceed $40,000 and Public Works purchase of a 2022 Cab and Chassis with Bed from Rush Truck Centers, Park City, Kansas, for a cost of $146,021.26. along with acceptance of KDOT funds for the High Risk Rural Roads Signing Project and three planning cases.

Budget requests will also be on the agends for the Reno County Extension Office, Reno County Drug Court and Reno County 4-H Fair, along with Economic Development.

The annual Community Corrections and Juvenile Services grant applications will also be on the agenda, along with the regular County Administrator's Report and comments from commissioners.

The Board of County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 12 in the Annex Conference Room at 125 West 1st in Hutchinson.
