HAVEN, Kan. — Haven High School standout Avery Brawner reached a career milestone Monday night, scoring her 1,000th point in an 82-21 victory over Nickerson.
Brawner finished with 22 points in the win. The senior is a three-sport athlete, also competing in volleyball and softball.
Haven is set to host Hillsboro on Tuesday night. The Wildcats are 9-2 and have won eight straight games after a 1-2 start to the season.
Brawner will continue her academic and athletic career at Hutchinson Community College, where she will play softball for the Blue Dragons.
