Rahnee Irene Kazanjian Melson, 67, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at Redwood Terrace Retirement Center. She was born December 11, 1952 in San Mateo, California to Bob C. and Betty M. (Powell) Kazanjian. Rahnee married Larry Glen Melson on May 21, 1988 in Reno, Nevada. He preceded her in death on August 7, 2019.
Rahnee graduated from Notre Dame High School in Belmont, California. She went on to study at Notre Dame De Namur University for 2 years. She worked as a Vet Tech in Vallejo, California. She was a member of American Legion Post 86 and the Women's Auxiliary for 20 plus years. She loved camels among all other animals and was passionate about Harley Davidson motorcycles and her 50's and 60's music.
She is survived by her daughter, Dee (Erin) Appling of Grants Pass, Oregon; stepson, Larry Dean Melson of Alabama; stepdaughter, Cherylan (Reggy) Mendenhall of Pratt; brothers, Wayne, Glen, Bruce and David; grandsons, Javan, Jerin, Michelle, Donny and Jennifer; and many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece and nephews.
Rahnee is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Larry Glen Melson.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt with Rick Moore presiding. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
