The Rice County Sheriff’s Office is helping establish a Neighborhood Watch program.

Sheriff’s Sergeant Josh Blank recently attended a meeting a Crosspoint Church in Sterling to help establish a neighborhood watch program.  The initiative is in the planning stages, with input and help by the Rice County Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement.

The office in a Facebook post said “We're proud to partner to enhance community safety. By working together and involving more eyes and ears in the community, we can make their jobs easier and ensure a safer environment for everyone. During the meeting, we were present to answer questions and provide information to those interested in joining the program.”

The sheriffs department added that, Together, we can make a difference and ensure a safer, more connected community. If you're interested in starting or joining a Neighborhood Watch group, contact us at 620-257-2363.”
