OSAGE COUNTY – Law enforcement authorities conducting an investigation regarding the online solicitation of a child by an adult have made an arrest.
On Tuesday, the Osage County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Unit (CIU) took into custody a suspect identified as 39-year-old Mark E. Davenport of Topeka who had made plans to meet with someone he believed to be a minor, according to Sheriff Chris Wells.
Davenport is being held on requested charges of aggravated human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation of a child, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
