HUTCHINSON, Kan. – USD 308 will host their first annual Educator for a Day event in celebration of American Education Week on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Educator for a Day is an annual event hosted by school districts around the country in celebration of American Education Week, which happens each year during the week prior to Thanksgiving. USD 308 is excited to join the tradition by hosting their first Educator for a Day event on November 18, 2021.
During the event, leaders from the Hutchinson community will become an “Educator for a Day,” by spending the morning with a principal at one of USD 308’s schools. The participant will engage in various classroom activities, and have an opportunity to give feedback to district leaders at the conclusion of the event. The purpose of the experience is to provide a unique opportunity to gain understanding of the challenges and rewards of 21st century education.
