Velma L. Beeler, 89, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Legend Senior Living, Hutchinson, KS.
She was born April 15, 1932 in Great Bend, KS, the daughter of Henry and Virginia (Unruh) Koehn.She graduated Radium High School, Radium, KS and attended Sterling College, Sterling, KS. On May 24, 1951 she married Donald F. Beeler in Russell, KS. Velma worked at Good Samaritan Society as a LPN charge nurse and retired after 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed putting puzzles together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Beeler; a son, Kenny Beeler; a son-in-law, Danny Chambers Sr.; and two brothers, Vernon and Harold Koehn.
Velma is survived by three daughters, Susan Tipton, Sharon (Dave) Cook, and Linda Chambers; 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2022, at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS. Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. with family greeting guests from 4-6 p.m., on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to Hospice House and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
