Lenore Postier |1924-2022|

Lenore Postier, 97, of Inman, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community in Buhler.  She was born June 27, 1924 in Hutchinson, the daughter of William B. and Rose F. (Barna) Stansel.

She graduated from Hutchinson High School with the class of 1941.  Lenore later graduated from Washburn University in Topeka with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Lenore was united in marriage to Lynn C. Postier on June 4, 1950 in Hutchinson.  He preceded her in death on August 27, 1994.

She was a devoted homemaker and farm wife.  Lenore previously worked for the State Board of Health in Topeka for five years and was a former bookkeeper at Grace Hospital in Hutchinson for over 3 years.

Lenore was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Inman, where she was active in the women’s fellowship program.  Lenore was a member of Hearthstone EHU, Phidelis – Bluebird Club in Inman, and McPherson China Highlights Club.  She was an avid China painter.

She is survived by her son, Lowel (Jackie) Postier of Inman; and four grandchildren, Lori (Matt) Elwonger, Greg Postier, Jesse Postier, and Amanda Postier. 

Lenore was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Loren (Carlene) Postier; two brothers, Harrison (Bea) Stansel and John (Ona) Stansel; and sister, Louise (Kenneth) Mendenhall.

Private family burial was held at Inman North Cemetery, Inman, Kansas.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s United Church of Christ Women’s fellowship in care of Buhler Mortuary, PO Box 589, Buhler, 67522.
