MCPHERSON COUNTY — The Kansas Department of Transportation will temporarily close I-135 on Friday, July 17, from mile marker 58 to 60 for the demolition of the Avenue A bridge. The bridge is located approximately one-half mile south of the U.S. 56 exit.
Northbound and southbound I-135 will close at 7 p.m. Friday, July 17. Southbound I-135 will reopen at 6 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, and northbound I-135 will reopen by 7 p.m. Saturday, July 18, weather permitting.
Traffic will follow the signed detour through McPherson via U.S. 56, Main Street, and K-61.
