HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County concluded advance voting Monday with 7,393 voters casting ballots ahead of Tuesday's general election, according to Reno County Clerk Jenna Fager.

The final total represents an increase of 866 voters from Friday afternoon, when county election officials reported 6,527 early voters as of 3 p.m.

Advance voting officially ended at noon Monday, Nov. 2, following several weeks of in-person voting at the Reno County Annex in Hutchinson.

The county also offered extended advance voting hours Wednesday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 31, to give residents additional opportunities to cast their ballots.

With advance voting now complete, attention turns to Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3, when polling locations throughout Reno County will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters will decide several federal, statewide and local races, including contests for Kansas governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, along with state legislative races and other local offices.

The ballot also includes judicial retention questions and local proposals, including a bond issue for Hutchinson USD 308 voters.

Residents planning to vote Tuesday must report to their assigned polling location based on their residential address and precinct.

Voters are required to present an acceptable form of photo identification when casting their ballots.

Those in line by 7 p.m. Tuesday will be permitted to vote.

Election results will begin coming in after polls close Tuesday evening. Official results will be determined through the county canvassing process.
