The Wichita Wind Surge says this year’s alternative name is the "Wichita Honkers." The Wind Surge select a new alternate name, logo and jersey for each season.
The new-look will be on display for select home games during the 2026 season. The Honkers name comes from the geese along the Arkansas River, which runs to the east of Riverfront Stadium in downtown Wichita.
