Frank W. Williams Jr., died August 6, 2020 at The Wesley Towers in Hutchinson, KS. Frank was born February 23, 1925, the son of Frank and Algona (Reynolds) Williams. He grew up in Sterling Kansas on a farm.

Frank is a retired Navy veteran, boxer, golfer, chauffeur, and part of the Masons Society. He enjoyed yard work, especially watering the plants. He enjoyed traveling the world and taking pictures of his adventures.  It was while he was working as a chauffeur that he met the love of his life, Lucene (Topps) Williams. She died May 5, 2007. She was working as a maid for a Kansas City, Mo., family. They had brought her out to Colorado with them for a vacation. Williams happened to be the chauffeur of a Wichita family who vacationed on the other side of the mountain. They fell in love and got married December 4, 1949 in Kansas City, Mo. They enjoyed life taking many of cruises together. Frank let his aggressions out in the boxing ring and became a three-time Golden Gloves champion. He was also a coach. While he and Lucene never had their own family, they loved the boxing kids as if they were their own. He grew up spending lots of time with his nephews Henry Henderson and Norman Henderson. Both now deceased. Frank belonged to the Second Missionary Baptist church.

Frank is survived by two cousins Zenobia Pope and Lilly Whitley; niece - in - Law Annette Henderson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Tim Adrian officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 from 9 a.m. until services time at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson, KS. Memorials may be given to the Kansas Oklahoma Golden Gloves and sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, KS 67502.
