HARVEY COUNTY—One person was injred in an accident just after 4 p.m. Wednesday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Toyota Rav4 driven by Analy Berdadero Oakes, 53, Newton, was northbound on Interstate 135 just north of 125th Street. The driver swerved to avoid road debris.
The driver had little time to react and the vehicle struck a ladder in the left lane, entered the median, struck the guardrail and rolled.
EMS transported Oakes to Newton Medical Center. She was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
