KINGMAN COUNTY—Residents in Kingman continue to live with a water emergency.

On Tuesday evening, emergency management officials acquired 3-gallon jugs of water for distribution to those unable to afford water bottles, according to a media release from the city.

Authorities distributed the limited supply of water at the armory, one to each member of a household, on Tuesday evening and will continue to distribute water on Wednesday morning while supplies last.

On Tuesday afternoon, the city reported they had identified a blockage in the water line due to a faulty valve and repaired the issue for the wells south of the city.

The state's do not drink order will continue until the KDHE has completed test results on the water system.

Those wells feed the city of around 3000 people and a rural water district covering the eastern portion of Kingman County.
