
HUTCHINSON, Kan. - The Hutchinson Monarchs continue to win games late this past week as Hutch rallied in the bottom of the seventh to defeat the Haysville Aviators 6-4 at Hobart-Detter field in Hutchinson on Wednesday night.
With 1 out in the bottom of the seventh, Hutchinson's Drew Bugner doubled to right center to score Sam Wiese and Austin Coyle to take the lead. That was all the Monarchs needed offensively.
The Monarch's Carson Cornelius came on in relief to record eight strikeouts to get the win.
Hutchinson, winners of five straight games, will have two days off before their next game which will be Saturday at home versus the Wichita Dirtbags at Hobart-Detter field.
Saturday night is Cancer Awareness night with a silent auction and other proceeds going to the Cancer Council of Reno County.
