⛳ Pretty Prairie edges Nickerson for home invitational title

PRETTY PRAIRIE, Kan. — Pretty Prairie defended its home course Monday, edging Nickerson by four strokes to win the Pretty Prairie Varsity Invitational at The Links at Pretty Prairie.

The Bulldogs posted a team score of 378 to finish just ahead of Nickerson at 382. Stafford placed third at 395.

Pretty Prairie was led by Dawson Dick, who finished third individually with an 89. Eli Anderson added a 95, while Eli Young and Collin Weide each shot 97 as the Bulldogs used a balanced top four to secure the team championship on their home course.

Nickerson nearly matched Pretty Prairie behind a strong individual showing from Jacob Myers, who placed second with an 88. Lane Hoskinson tied for fourth at 93, Gage Hoskinson added a 100, and Kyler Nikkel carded a 101 as the Panthers finished runner-up.

Stafford’s Jace Kreutzer claimed medalist honors with an 83, topping the field by five strokes. Myers was second at 88, followed by Dick in third at 89.

Pretty Prairie also got a 98 from Weston Lanning, while Nickerson received additional rounds from Trey Jones at 111 and Shamus Nugent at 115.
