HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Salvation Army on Saturday had their Broncos vs. Chiefs challenge at Dillons Marketplace and Chiefs fans raised $278.42, while Bronco supporters tossed in $165.48.

This week begins the Battle of the Church Bells. Monday thru Saturday the Salvation Army is having a competition for individuals or groups from different churches. People can signup on registertoring.com and the money raised in their buckets will go towards their church winning the traveling trophy.

Saturday, December 11 begins the 12 Days of Ringing, when the Salvation Army will begin the count down to the end of ringing bells with daily updates of how much we have left to go to reach our Red Kettle Goal.

The Red Kettle Goal for this year in Hutchinson is $70,000. There are kettles at Dillons and Walmart in Hutchinson and downtown at the Toy Depot, Sleep Shoppe and Furniture Gallery and Smiths Market.
