SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Planning Commission approved this week the conditional use permit for a limited scale solar project for Ark Valley Electric on land&nbsp; zoned AG – Agricultural District. 

The property is approximately 7.89 acres of land located on the south side of E. 95th Ave., approximately 2,000 feet west of N. Halstead St. 

This project has been in the works for quite some time and has been mentioned multiple times at Board of County Commissioners meetings as something they would support. 

The Planning Commmission's decision was unanimous.

Planning commission approves limited scale solar project
