HUTCHINSON, Kan. — With the new year approaching, there will still be some who get out and celebrate the end of 2020.

In the past, a local law firm has offered free rides home for those who may have celebrated a little too much. However, Bretz &amp; Young says that, because of the pandemic, it will not provide rides home this year.&nbsp;

Hutchinson police officers say they are not in the Uber business, but do provide rides in certain situations.&nbsp;

Thad Pickard with HPD says they plan to have extra patrols out New Year’s Eve looking for impaired drivers and other activity that can be associated with the new year.
