HUTCHINSON, Kan. — KWBW’s Project Concern for 2021 raised $17,386.88 from BW radio listeners.
BW was able to get back to putting its turkeys in the drive-through at the studios after being unable to do so in 2020 due to COVID-19.
KWBW obtains gift cards each year from Dillons for the Salvation Army to distribute. The amount to Dillons from listeners this year was $13,908.80. Dillons has donated additional funds to make a total of $16,000 of gift cards available, enough to help 640 families.
Friendship Meals will receive $1,739.04 and Christian Soup Ministry will receive $1739.04.
Last year, KWBW raised $16,175.81. Project Concern would not be a success each year without the help of BW's generous listeners.
