The Hutchinson Community College women's soccer team remained No. 12 in this week's NJCAA Division I National Rankings, which were released on Monday.

That sets up the Blue Dragons' second nationally ranked home matchup of the season on Wednesday when No. 11 Cowley comes to the Salthawk Soccer Complex for Hutchinson's Jayhawk Conference opener.

Hutchinson defeated No. 12 Trinity Valley 2-1 on August 25 for their first nationally ranked home matchup. The Dragons scored the game-winning goal from Poppy Smith with 12.2 seconds remaining in the game.

Wednesday's game will be a rematch of the 2024 Region 6 Tournament championship game where Cowley earned a birth to the national tournament with a 4-2 win in penalty kicks after the game was played to a 2-2 draw through regulation and overtime.

The Blue Dragons enter play on Wednesday 3-0. The Dragons defeated Wichita United 4-0 last Thursday in a scrimmage. Before that scrimmage, the Dragons last played on August 31, a 4-0 at NOC-Enid.

The Blue Dragons extended their record of consecutive weeks in the national rankings with their 22nd-straight appearance in the poll.

This week's Top 5 has Daytona State, Arizona Western, Salt Lake, Seminole State and Navarro. Butler is the only other team from the KJCCC, ranked 20th this week.

The Blue Dragons play host to Cowley on Wednesday and travels to Coffeyville on Saturday.
