HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Veterans Room at the Reno County Courthouse.
The meeting will begin with a proclamation recognizing Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
The consent agenda includes:
- Approval of regular county payments.
- Renewal of a cereal malt beverage license for Fun Valley.
- Declaring three high-mileage 2020 Ford Interceptor SUVs as surplus for auction.
- Authorization for Public Works to purchase a 95-horsepower tractor for $89,425.
- Presentation of the department’s annual engineering report.
Commissioners will consider approving an operations agreement for the Brush Up Reno program with Interfaith Housing & Community Services.
Several organizations will present budget requests for 2026, including:
- Reno County Conservation District
- Greater Hutch Economic Development
- StartUp Hutch
The commission will also discuss solar energy regulations in unzoned areas of Reno County.
The meeting will close with updates from the county administrator, monthly department reports, and commissioner comments.
