HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Art Center is trying to keep kids involved with art this spring even as they prepare to bring back more in person events.

"Our Virtual Art Camp is being led by art instructor Hannah Beam," said Jacelyn Chambers with the Hutchinson Art Center. "We are releasing new videos every weekday on our Hutchinson Art Center Youtube page until April 23rd. These are just really bite size pieces of artistic learning and artistic exploration for young artists to get their feet wet again."

One of the many things canceled last year because of the pandemic was the Hutchinson Art Fair. It will be back in May.

"The Hutchinson Art Fair is a gathering on the Kansas State Fairgrounds at the Sunflower South Building," Chambers said. "We typically feature over 50 art vendors. In the past, we've had live music, which we plan to bring back. We've had some sort of concessions. This year, we're hoping to get some food trucks outside for this event. In the past, we've had anywhere between three to five thousand people in attendance."
