
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — After getting approval from the Hutchinson City Council in June, work is underway on the Hutchinson water tower at Avenue A and Adams.
The project includes recoating the interior and the exterior of the tank and the supporting columns. Work crews will also be adding a rail on top to mount antennas from on top of the tank and brackets for communication cables that feed those antennas. Improvements will also be made to the tower's ladder safety climb system
G&L Tank Sandblasting & Coatings LLC is doing the work at a cost of $347,300.
