HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Monarchs pounded out 19 hits and scored 15 runs for the second straight game Friday, defeating the Kingman Islanders 15-3 in eight innings in Kingman.
Sawyer Thornhill was 5 for 6 with two RBI in the win.
Braden Davis got the win in relief for Hutchinson, throwing 2 and 1/3 innings of two hit ball.
Hutchinson is now 20-6 and returns to Hobart-Detter Saturday night to play the Islanders. First pitch is at 7 p.m.
