HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Lisa Radi with the Delos V. Smith Senior Citizens Center at 101 West 1st Avenue is planning for that facility to reopen in a few weeks.
"We are planning on reopening on Monday, April 5," Radi said. "We are picking up some of the activities that we were not previously doing because of COVID. We're going to take some extra precautions."
That will include wearing masks and instructing attendees on frequent handwashing with sanitizer.
"We waited until April 5 to give the opportunity for our participants age 65 and older down here to get the vaccine and to have it be effective. That's one of the reasons we decided to wait until April 5."
