The Hutchinson Community College football team remained No. 1 in the NJCAA rankings for the 13th-consecutive week with the new Division I Football poll released on Monday.

The Blue Dragons (9-0) will now play their fifth nationally ranked opponent this season when No. 14 Garden City comes to Gowans Stadium for a noon kickoff on Saturday.

The Dragons defeated Highland 49-7 on Saturday in Highland for their 13th-straight victory and 25-consecutive road win.

Hutchinson received all 12 first-place votes again with Iowa Western (9-1), Tyler (10-0), Northwest Mississippi (10-1) and Georgia Military (10-1) rounding out the top 5.

The Blue Dragons extend their program record for longest consecutive weeks in the national poll to 61 weeks. The Dragons have been ranked in the top three of the NJCAA Rankings for 55 consecutive polls and have been ranked No. 1 in 50 of the 80 polls released in the Drew Dallas era.

The KJCCC continues to have four teams in the Top 15. Coffeyville (7-3) remained No. 7. Butler (6-3) moved up three spots after a win over Dodge City to No. 10. Garden City (6-4) dropped three spots to No. 14 after an overtime loss to Iowa Central, which jumped up two spots to No. 8.
