The City of Hutchinson will be conducting fire hydrant inspections and flow testing throughout town over the next several weeks. These are routine maintenance procedures.
During this time, residents may notice water running down their street or experience temporary discoloration in their tap water.
If you notice discoloration, simply run your tap water for 2 to 3 minutes to clear it up. The discoloration occurs as a result of the testing process, the City’s water system is working properly and will continue to deliver clean, safe water.
Additionally, if you see water coming up from the ground in any area, please contact City of Hutchinson Utilities Department immediately at 620-694-1900 so they can address the issue.
