RICE COUNTY — Emergency crews responded Tuesday morning to a rollover accident involving a semi-truck hauling corn at 22nd Road and Highway 4.
The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m., prompting authorities to temporarily close the roadway while first responders worked to secure the scene, provide medical care, and clear debris from the highway.
Officials have not yet released information on the cause of the crash or the condition of those involved.
Local and regional agencies assisted in the response, including the Rice County Sheriff’s Office, Rice County EMS, Ellsworth County EMS, Geneseo Fire Department, the Kansas Department of Transportation’s Rice County area office, and the Ellsworth Service Center.
Authorities expressed appreciation for the coordinated effort among all responding units as crews worked to restore traffic flow and ensure public safety.
