Renetta Sue Stucky |1943-2021|

Renetta Sue Stucky, 77, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Friday, June 18, 2021 at Pine Village. She was born August 4, 1943, in Halstead, Kansas, the daughter of Dan Eli and Florine (Krehbiel) Stucky.

She graduated from Moundridge High School with the class of 1961.

She was united in marriage to Ronald K. Stucky on November 3, 1961 in Moundridge. He survives of the home.

Early in her marriage, Renetta was a Teacher’s Aide for the Moundridge schools. She received her nursing degree at Hesston College in 1981. Renetta became a registered nurse, working at Halstead Hospital, Mercy Hospital, Pleasant View Home in Inman, and Memorial Home in Moundridge

She was baptized at Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge. Renetta and Ron were current members of the Medora Community Bible Church in Medora.

Renetta was known for her cooking and baking. She operated Sunflower Catering. She also submitted recipes and won several cooking contests. Renetta hosted family dinners every Sunday, and loved hosting family Superbowl parties and birthdays dinners.

Other survivors include her son, Russell (Lynelle) Stucky of Moundridge; daughter, Denise (Anthony) Jasso of Moundridge; five grandchildren, Lauren (Allen) Bonde, Evan (Payton) Stucky, Blair Stucky, Julianna Jasso, and Allison Jasso; great-granddaughter, Quinn Stucky; brother, D. Weston “Wes” (Peggy) Stucky of Edmond, OK; and sister, Rebecka Stucky of Austin, TX.

Renetta was preceded in death by her parents; and niece, Jennifer Stucky.

Cremation is planned with a private family burial to be held at Eden Mennonite Church Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Moundridge Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 24, at Medora Community Bible Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G.
