HARVEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Thursday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Toyota 4Runner driven by Yamilena Zambrano Galue, 24, Wichita, was southbound on Interstate 135 one mile south of Lincoln Boulevard. The SUV struck a KDOT 2023 Freightliner 108SD driven by Charlene Harvey, 40, Newton, who was doing maintenance on the Interstate and was partially in the left lane.
EMS transported Zambrano to a Wichita hospital. The truck driver was not injured. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, according to the KHP.
