HUTCHINSON, Kan. — SCKEDD will be entering into an agreement with Reno County this week to use ARPA funds to rehabilitate housing in the area through the SCKEDD Community Housing Resurgence Program.
The purpose of this revolving program is to expand the financial opportunity for low-to-moderate income households to attain affordable home ownership and create personal wealth.
SCKEDD will rehabilitate donated, vacated, or abandoned homes that currently have the ability to be revitalized.
Licensed and experienced inspectors with SCKEDD will assess each potential property to determine if it will be feasible for the program.
SCKEDD will work with local community groups, civic leaders, and real estate agencies to market the newly rehabilitated residential properties to low-to-moderate income buyers in an effort to meet housing needs.
