HUTCHINSON, Kan. — At 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, Hutchinson firefighters responded to 404 West 5th Avenue for a report of a house fire.
Crews reported heavy smoke coming from the structure. One person did escape from the home prior to the department’s arrival. The fire was contained to the area of origin. However, the home sustained smoke and heat damage throughout.
No one was hurt. No cause has been determined as of Wednesday morning.
