At 2:41 pm, Wichita Police advised that they had located the child and she is safe. The father is in custody at this time. Law Enforcement thanks the public for their assistance in being vigilant during a Child Abduction event.

An AMBER Alert has been issued for a 3-year-old Wichita girl who authorities say was abducted early Sunday following a domestic violence incident.
The Wichita Police Department reported that at approximately 2:16 a.m. Sunday, Araceli Gonzales was forcibly taken by her father, Saul Gonzales Diaz, from her mother.
According to police, the suspect allegedly assaulted the child's mother and was armed with a handgun. The mother also reported hearing what may have been a gunshot inside the residence before the child was taken.
Investigators believe Araceli is in imminent danger.
The suspect reportedly left the area of 4240 E. Boston in Wichita driving a white 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup with Kansas license plate 446-MSL. Police do not know the direction of travel but believe the suspect and child remain in the Wichita area.
Anyone who sees the child, the suspect or the vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately.
