The biggest crowd of the 2026 season packed the grandstands Friday night as Salt City Racing honored one of its longtime supporters during the annual Bob Burkhart Memorial at the Reno County Fairgrounds.

Salt City Racing promoter Phil Nightingale said the memorial event drew the facility's largest attendance of the year, with fans turning out for a full night of IMCA and USRA racing.

In the IMCA Northern Sport Mod feature, Hutchinson's Dalton Chambers led from the pole and captured the 15-lap feature. Cody Williams of Minneapolis finished second, followed by Alex Wiens and Kyle Wiens, both of Newton. Hoisington's Shawn Ward rounded out the top five.
