The Trump Administration is doing what it can to lower record egg prices, that is being caused by avian influenza. Therefore, the U.S. has almost doubled egg imports from Brazil and is thinking about relaxing regulations for eggs laid by chickens that are raised for meat.
There could be more imports from other countries as well, and Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins has said they’re talking about importing hundreds of millions of eggs in the short term.
