KSBRC to host event for potential school board candidates

The Kansas School Board Resource Center is hosting an event in Wichita for those individuals who may be interested in running for their local school board. 

The event is called “Thinking about running for your school board?” and well be held in Room 138 at the Eugene M Hughes Metroplex at Wichita State University.  This is located at 5015 East 29 Street North. This is just south of K-96 on Woodlawn Boulevard.

The event is designed to recruit student-focused candidates to run for the local school board.  It also designed to recruit candidates that are interested in improving local schools so students can be prepared for their careers and college after graduating from high school.

Dave Trabert will be there to discuss key points in his new book titled, “8 Things to Know About Running for School Board.”  The book’s purpose is to provide coaching for potential school board candidates and current school board members on finding the information they need to support student success and improvement.
