HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Saving lives and helping others is always the top priority for Hutchinson first responders. Again, this year, these first responders will be using that lifesaving priority to bolster the community’s blood supply. Join Hutchinson’s first responders and be a lifesaver at the annual American Red Cross Hutchinson Battle of the Badges Blood Drive.
During the annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, the Hutchinson Fire and Police departments compete to see who can recruit the most blood donors. Everyone who comes to give can cast a vote to determine who will win this year’s bragging rights to the trophy. All those who come to donate during the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive will receive a commemorative T-shirt, while supplies last. Chili will be served daily and cinnamon rolls on Wednesday morning.
The dates, times and locations for this year's battle of the badges are:
• Monday, Jan. 27 – First Presbyterian Church, 201 East Sherman, Noon to 6:30 pm
• Tuesday, Jan. 28 – First Presbyterian Church 11 am to 5:30 pm
• Wednesday, Jan. 29 – First Presbyterian Church 7 am to 1 pm
