Sheriff: 2 women jailed after drug bust at Kan. home

MONTGOMERY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on drug charges after a search at a Kansas home.

On Monday, deputies executed a narcotic search warrant at a home in the 1000 block of north High Street, in Caney, Kansas, according to Sheriff Ron Wade.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office worked with Caney Police Department to develop information that led to obtaining a search warrant for the residence.

During the search warrant, investigators seized what is suspected to be methamphetamines, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies took two of the occupants of the home 40-year-old Kimberly Taylor and 19-year-old Stefanie Hopkins into custody based upon the evidence found in the home.

Investigators are requesting Taylor be charged with Possession of methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child endangerment. It has been requested that Hopkins be charged with possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Wade.
