HARVEY COUNTY —On Thursday, 32-year-old Christopher M. McAhren of Newton pleaded guilty to Aggravated&nbsp; Criminal Sodomy, Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child, Rape of a child under the age of 14 and Aggravated Internet Trading in Child Pornography, according to the Harvey County Attorney's office.

All four charges subject him to a sentence of up to life in prison with no eligibility for parole until he has served 25 years in prison. The victim of the case was a child under the age of 8 years of age. 

This case was prosecuted with the assistance of the Newton Police Department, Heart to Heart Child Advocacy Center, and the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
