WICHITA, Kan. &ndash;&nbsp;Four Wichita State errors proved costly in the Shockers' 10-1 loss to the Missouri Tigers on Friday evening at Wilkins Stadium. &nbsp; It took until the third inning, but it was the visiting Tigers striking first, lifting a ball over the fence in left field for a solo home run.&nbsp; &nbsp; In the top of the fourth, Mizzou capitalized on four walks and two costly errors to score six runs in the inning, taking a 7-0 lead. &nbsp; In the bottom half,&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/taylor-sedlacek/9318" rel="smarttag" rev="9318" data-airgap-id="56">Taylor Sedlacek</a></dfn>&nbsp;got the Shockers on the board with a solo homer to straight-away center to cut the deficit to 7-1. &nbsp; In the top of the fifth, Mizzou added another run on an error, but&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/sami-hood/9312" rel="smarttag" rev="9312" data-airgap-id="57">Sami Hood</a></dfn>&nbsp;turned a fantastic double play to limit the damage and keep the score 8-1.&nbsp; &nbsp; The Tigers added onto their lead in the seventh, scoring two runs to make it a 10-1 game. &nbsp; <dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/chloe-barber/9310" rel="smarttag" rev="9310" data-airgap-id="58">Chloe Barber</a></dfn>&nbsp;(2-4)&nbsp;suffered the loss for WSU, allowing six total runs on four hits with five strikeouts on the day.&nbsp;&nbsp;In total, only five of the 10 Tiger runs in the game were earned. &nbsp; Sedlacek, Hood,&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/catelyn-beckerley/9328" rel="smarttag" rev="9328" data-airgap-id="59">Catelyn Beckerley</a></dfn>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<dfn><a href="https://goshockers.com/sports/softball/roster/ellee-eck/9322" rel="smarttag" rev="9322" data-airgap-id="60">Ellee Eck</a></dfn>&nbsp;all recorded a hit for WSU. &nbsp; Next Up The Shockers have a doubleheader on deck for Saturday as they are set to face South Dakota State at 12:30 PM and No. 18/16 Nebraska at 5:30 PM at Wilkins Stadium.</div>
