HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One of those charged in connection with smuggling contraband into the Hutchinson Correctional Facility has had her trial date moved to later this year.

Esther Davis was scheduled in Reno County District Court for a status conference on Tuesday.

According to Andrew Davidson with the District Attorney's office, the Davis case was rescheduled for jury trial in November.

Davis was one of three women that prosecutors say 22-year-old Zachary Wood used to try to smuggle K-2 into the prison.
