
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) ā Three Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference teams were recognized in the latest NAIA womenās volleyball coachesā poll released Wednesday, highlighted by McPherson Collegeās climb into the top 10.
McPherson moved up two spots to No. 9 after an 8-1 start, including a six-match winning streak. The Bulldogsā only loss has come against sixth-ranked Northwestern (Iowa).
Oklahoma Wesleyan jumped five spots to No. 8 following a 6-1 start. The Eagles are led by setter Sydney Collins, who tops the nation in assists per set at 11.67.
Bethel College joined the poll for the first time this season, earning a place in the āreceiving votesā category after not being mentioned in the previous rankings.
The poll is conducted weekly by a panel of head coaches across the NAIA and will be updated again Sept. 17.
