HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The case count of COVID-19 continues to go down in Reno County.
The overall case count is at 183 as of Monday. The death count among Reno County residents is at 133. The last time cases were here or below was October 4.
The latest update to the 14-day rolling average for the community as a whole is an 11.6% positive test rate as of February 7, with the latest week of data added Thursday.
The 14-day new case total is at 181 as of Thursday. This has moved the overall community positive test rate for the total pandemic down slightly to 27.40%.
Out of 7,642 total cases since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 7,326 recoveries. There are only two cluster types with active cases. 44 in long-term care facilities and 3 from religious gatherings. There are 22 clusters still being monitored.
Six Reno County residents are in the hospital. According to the dashboard, three hundred sixty-two total have been hospitalized. One hundred three have been admitted to the ICU. These are Reno County resident numbers regardless of where they are hospitalized.
