Gerald ‘Jerry’ Arlan McInturff, 89, passed away Feb. 20, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1931, in Hutchinson, to Edward Eugene and Stella (Lewis) McInturff.

Jerry graduated from Hutchinson High School and served in the United States Navy. He was employed at Hutchinson News as a pressman, retiring with over 30 years of service. Jerry was a member of the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church. 

He was a golf enthusiast. Jerry enjoyed playing golf and watching golf on television. He could also be found out drowning a worm at his favorite fishing hole.

On July 5, 1953, Jerry married Virginia Lee Kline, at the First United Methodist Church, Dodge City. They shared over 60 years of marriage, prior to her death on April 11, 2014.

He is survived by his children, Brad McInturff of Buhler, Sheri (Kory) Jowers of Hutchinson, and Todd McInturff of Hutchinson; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and companion, Judy Hill.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sons, Ronnie McInturff and Kenneth McInturff; and sister, Carol Adamson.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Gary Getting officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. The wearing of masks and social distancing will be required.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mennonite Friendship Communities Endowment Fund, South Hutchinson, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
