The Buhler Police Department has been recognized for its outstanding commitment to traffic safety, receiving the Silver Community Traffic Safety Award from the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT).

Troy Wells, KDOT’s regional Traffic Enforcement Liaison, presented the award during a visit to the department. The honor celebrates law enforcement agencies that go above and beyond to keep roads safe through proactive programs and enhanced enforcement efforts.

Buhler officers have focused on critical areas such as seatbelt compliance and impaired driving prevention, regularly participating in special initiatives to reduce crashes and protect lives.
