KANSAS CITY, Kan. —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident.
Just after 3p.m. Monday, a vehicle struck a woman who was attempting to cross the street at the traffic light at 10th and Central in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a statement from Kansas City, Kansas Police spokesperson Nancy Chartrand.
EMS transported her to a local hospital where she died. The vehicle left the scene but police did make contact with the driver who is cooperating with the investigation. Police have not released the victim's name.
