Virginia Louise “Ginny” Osgood, 95, of Hutchinson, died June 17, 2021, at Hospice House. She was born August 8, 1925, in Florence, to Edward and Roxie (Widler) Anderson.
Ginny graduated from Exeter Union High School in 1946, and then attended Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon. She was a homemaker and a nurse’s aide, working in both hospitals and nursing homes. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, Young at Heart Ministry, and Elmdale Senior Center. Ginny was a member of First Church of God, Hutchinson.
On November 28, 1948, she married Kenneth Lloyd Osgood in Kansas City, Missouri. He passed away on September 27, 2016.
Ginny is survived by: daughters, LaDonna Fager (Don), Hutchinson, and Pam Mifflin (Rob), Anderson, Indiana; grandchildren, Renee Nally (Joe), Bowling Green, Kentucky, Don Fager Jr. (Miranda), McPherson, Drew Fager (Jenna), Hutchinson, Josh Mifflin, Anderson, Indiana, and Abby Hart (Max), Anderson, Indiana; great-grandchildren, Ben and Adam Nally, Ava and Aiden Hart, and Mason and Addie Fager.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Kenneth Osgood; daughter, Deanna Whitehead; son-in-law, Rex Whitehead; and her siblings.
Celebration of life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at First Church of God. Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
