Juanita E. Hershey |1926-2021|

Juanita E. Hershey, 94, passed away on June 14, 2021 at Diversicare in Hutchinson, KS.  She was born November 10, 1926, in Picher, OK, the daughter of Clifford and Lona (Swetten) Baysinger.

Juanita worked as a housekeeper and dietary aid and retired in 1988 after 25 years.  She was a member of First Church of God and Seventh - day Adventist Church in Hutchinson. On June 1, 1946, she married John McCormick in Columbus, KS, He died on May 25, 1993.  Juanita later married William Hershey on August 10, 1997 in Wichita, KS.  He died on September 24, 2005.  Juanita loved to read, send greeting cards and going places with her daughter, Ilene. 

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Ilene (Lonnie) Hougham and Velma Shipley; sons, John H. McCormick Jr. and Keith McCormick; siblings, Mary, Alice and Douglas; five grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, on Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1302 N. Severance, Hutchinson, with Pastor trey Sharp III presiding.  Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association and can be sent in care of Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave. Hutchinson, KS 67502.
