Homer Gilson was located in Topeka and the SILVER ALERT has been canceled, according to Hutchinson Police.

On August 11th, 2026 at 0841, officers were dispatched to an address in Hutchinson for a lost adult.
Reported missing is 79-year old Homer Lee Gilson.
Gilson is described as a white male, 6'02", and weighs 180 pounds, with gray hair, and blue eyes.
Gilson has recently displayed evidence of limited mental capacity and is believed to put him at an increased risk to his safety. He was last seen today leaving Hutchinson and most recently alerted on a FLOCK camera in Salina at 9:42 a.m.
Gilson is driving a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee, silver in color with a brush guard on the front, KS tag: 3478AED. His current whereabouts are unknown and is believed to be trying to travel to Topeka.
